Welcome to the memorial page for

Cheryl Lynn (Watts) Guitare

February 24, 1950 ~ August 26, 2016 (age 66) 66 Years Old

Guitare, Cheryl Lynn. It is with profound sadness that the family of Cheryl Lynn Guitare (née Watts), announce her sudden passing, after a brief illness, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB on August 26, 2016.  She was 66 years old.

The oldest child of George & Marion Watts (née Starrett), Cheryl was born in Halifax, NS but relocated to Fredericton, NB at a young age.  After finding her calling as a Registered Nurse (RN), she worked at the DECH on 4SE and the Veteran's Unit, among others.  This career suited her caring and compassionate personality.  Beyond her career she enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.  She was a kind, generous and loyal person, who could light up a room with her laughter, and who will forever be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the DECH, particularly nurse Whitney, for their professionalism and compassion in what became her remaining days.

Left to mourn are her partner, Stephen Paddock; his mother Patricia Murray (Dave), her daughter, Christina Hicks (Greg); brother Rick Watts (Sharon); niece, Sarah Watts; nephew, Greg Watts, close friend Carol Garry (Ontario), numerous friends and acquaintances and her four beloved granddaughters; Ainsley, Maren, Piper & Keira, whom she absolutely adored.  Cheryl was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Marilyn Watts.

A private family service has taken place.  Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Lung Association. Cheryl was also an organ donor and would encourage everyone to sign their organ donor cards and speak with their families about their wishes.
