McCaffrey- Lawrence Joseph McCaffrey It is with sadness that the family of Lawrence (Larry) McCaffrey of Central Blissville, NB announce his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Sunday August 13, 2017.  Born in Fredericton, NB on September 20, 1962, he was the son of Christine (Tims) McCaffrey and the late Gerald McCaffrey .

Larry worked for Canada Post for over 30 years, as both a Letter Carrier in Oromocto and Fredericton and as an inside worker in Oromocto, until his retirement in 2015. He graduated from OHS and spent most of his time showing off his Barracuda through the streets of Burton and Oromocto. His love for giving back to is community was shown numerous times through his involvement and dedication in coaching both Hockey and Softball. It was on the field that he met his soul mate, Kim. Together they raised four beautiful boys and cherished each moment as they watched their love grow. His pride for his children was beyond words and his love for his grandchildren, was beyond measure.

He enjoyed time hunting and fishing with both his boys and grandchildren but his true passion was for his undying love to the Montreal Canadiens.

Lawrence is survived by his wife Kim McCaffrey of  28 years, four sons; Joel (Megan) Knorr, Corey (Megan) McCaffrey, Joshua (Rachel) McCaffrey, Jordan (Taylor) McCaffrey, four sisters; Monica McCaffrey, Linda (Sonny) Burke, Rosemary, Heather (Reg) Denny, one brother Michael McCaffrey, six grandchildren; Brooklyn, Hannah, Rose, Emilia, Corey, Easton and  several nieces and nephews.

Along with Lawrence`s father, he is also predeceased by his sister-in-law Rosselyn.

Visitations will be held at Sunbury Funeral Home on Wednesday August 16, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8pm. The funeral will be held on Thursday August 17, 2017 at 1pm at Sunbury Funeral Home omeHomein Central Blissville with Father Martin Arputham officiating.  Interment will follow the service in the Oromocto Pioneer Gardens Cemetery.
