Kendall Nason Obituary

Nason, Kendall

Nason, Kendall David, it is with great sadness that the family of Kendall David Nason announces the sudden passing of Kendall at his place of residence on March 4th, 2024.

Born on December 27th,1960, in Fredericton Junction, NB.  Kendall was the son of the late Payson and Lanore (Mersereau) Nason and chosen son of the late Douglas and Janet (Mersereau) Duplisea.  He will be dearly missed by his brothers, Wayne (Angela) Duplisea, Philip (Avis) Duplisea, Donald Nason; his sisters Colene (Robert) Stennick and Susan Craft; his many nieces and nephews.

Kendall was a devote son and brother, his family meant a lot to him.  Kendall as a child spent a lot of his time with his Grampy John; riding along standing on the back of his farm tractor working the many vegetable gardens day in and day out through the many summers.  As a young adult, he enjoyed his daily drives with Malcolm Macpherson in the dump truck.  He loved the special family holidays and birthday celebrations when they would get together for great laughs and food.  Kendall had a love for animals from dog walking to giving cat treats.  Kendall enjoyed watching all sports, reading the news paper, listening to music for hours, sci-fi (Star Trek and Star Wars) James Bond movies, working with firewood, daily walks to Post Office to get the mail and the Tracy store to get his treats.  He was devoted to the community of Tracy NB where he lived all his life.  Kendall made sure the Canada and New Brunswick Flags were put up early mornings and took down after dark every day at the municipal building.  In 2022, Kendall was awarded the volunteer of the year award from the Village of Tracy, that was a very special day for him.  Kendall was always there to help some of the elderly living within walking distance running errands or helping with outside work they could no longer do themselves.  Kendall had a huge heart, he was one of commonly seen figures within our community, everyone knew his name and knew who he was, a gentle giant.

A special thank you to the Tracy Village Council for allowing Kendall to do his devoted job for many years and to the previous owners of the Tracy Store (Jamie & Belinda) and their staff for their kindness and welcoming him for his daily visits.  The family would also like to thank Wendy, her husband and the residents at Bartlette Gardens Special Care Home for welcoming Kendall into their home and treating him like he was one of their own, making his stay loving, warm, and comfortable.

At the family’s request, there will be no visitation or service.  A burial will be held at a later date for close family and friends.

Donations can be made in memory, to the Seniors Center in Tracy, Tracy Baptist Church, Food Bank, Homeless Shelter or of the donors choosing.

Arrangements are in the Professional Care of Sunbury Funeral Home, Central Blissville, NB (368-2413).  Condolences: sunburyfuneralhome.com
