Howard Finley Morrison

Morrison, Howard Finley It is with joyful hearts the family of Howard Morrison announce his suffering is over.  He passed away peacefully at the Oromocto Public Hospital on June 22, 2019 at the age of 74 surrounded by lots of love. Born on September 14, 1944 in the Willows, Miramichi, NB.  He was the son of the late Raymond and Wilda (Taylor) Morrison.

Howard is survived by his wife Linda (Byron), daughter Alicia, sons Jason (Deanna) and Patrick (Elizabeth), the light of his life, his granddaughter Autumn, his chosen granddaughters and nieces Miranda and Madison Byram, special sister in law Julie Byram who brought him sweets and lots of love and had become his favorite person, and Shelly Byron who kept him on his toes till the end, his chosen family Anna and David Washburn, brothers, Frank, Ernest (Phyllis), John (Dona), Dale , Kevin (Claudette), his sisters Alberta Charlton, Thelma Harnish (Gary), Evelyn Comeau (Willard), Donna Teakles-Rector (Morris), Arlene Munn (Wayne), Sheila Doiron (Rodolf), Kelly Powers (Blaine) and many other beloved in laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

He is predeceased by his mother in law Reta Byron, baby sister Shirley, sister in law Sandy, brother in law Donnie Teakles, and beloved baby nieces Mackenzie and Megan Byram.

Howard was a trucker, a husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He drove a truck for most of his life covering all of Canada coast to coast and all but 2 U.S. States.  He was an avid reader, loved westerns (reading and watching), old time country music and meetings at the (Coffee Club) “Liars Club” with friends and neighbors.  He was a family man who loved and cherished each and every one of his large family, biological and chosen.

Visitations will be held at Sunbury Funeral Home on Tuesday June 25, 2019 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.  The funeral will be held at Sunbury Funeral Home on Wednesday June 26, 2019 at 11:00am with Rev Sara Palmater.  Interment will be in the Blissville Baptist Cemetery following the service. If you wish, donations may be made in memory of Howard to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice.
