Hoyt, Jean Gertrude (Woodley) – With great sadness, the family of Jean Gertrude Hoyt (Woodley) of Oromocto, NB and originally from Hoyt, NB, announce her passing at the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital on July 9, 2017.  Born in Fredericton Junction, NB on November 15, 1943 to the late Elizabeth Woodley (Nason) and Carl Woodley.  She was the wife of the late Harold Hoyt.

Jean was a wonderful person who dearly loved her family and friends.  She also loved to indulge in her favorite activity of bingo. Jean had a keen sense of humour and wit and loved to share her gift with those she cherished.  Family and friends were always guaranteed a good laugh and a practical joke or two, while spending time with her. Jean enjoyed travelling in the tractor trailer with her husband and love of her life, Harold.  They travelled to many destinations across Canada and the USA and she loved to share stories about their adventures on the road together. Jean was a fantastic cook and worked in the food service industry for many years in New Brunswick and Alberta.

Jean is survived by two daughters; Debbie McCann (Jerry) of Hoyt and Susan Howe of Calgary, one sister Elizabeth Tracy (Elwood) of Nackawic, one brother Carl Woodley (Carol) of PEI, four Grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 Family and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home, Central Blissville NB on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 for visitations between 2-4 and 6-8pm.  Funeral Service will be held at Sunbury Funeral Home on Thursday July 13, 2017 at 11am with Rev. Albert Galbraith officiating. Interment will be at the Patterson United Church Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, The Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of your choice.
