Kingston, John Henry – The family wishes to announce the passing of John Henry Kingston of Upper Tracy at the age of 80. Johnny, as he was affectionately known, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.  Born and grew up in Fredericton Junction, NB, he was son of the late Bessie (Wells) and Cyrus Kingston.

John worked in construction with NB Power for 33 years of his life. Away from work he kept busy on his woodlot and the sugar shack making maple syrup. Johnny enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, the woods, hunting and made his own salmon rods and flies for when he went fishing.

His self-sacrificing spirit moved him to give his all to God and to serve him.  He symbolized his dedication by being baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on October 28, 2006

His faith had an impact on many lives, not only in his congregation, but also in his community. He will be dearly missed, but in his own words, Johnny entertained the hope of being united with family and friends in the resurrection, when the meek will possess the earth, and the righteous will live to time indefinite. A time when tears and sorrow will be a thing of the past. 

He is survived by his wife Edith May (Nason); daughter Barbette, sons; Myles, Brent, Cyril, Sisters; Mary Nason, Olivier Lively, Brother; Ken Kingston

John is predeceased by his parents; Bessie and Cyrus Kingston.

Everybody is welcome to Johnny’s memorial service which will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 2pm the Oromocto Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s witnesses, 16 Doyle Drive Oromocto with Johann Grimm officiating.
