For the Anniversary of Dad:

He Will Call:

Life, like a mist, appears for just a day, then disappears tomorrow.
All that we are can quickly fade away, replaced with tears and sorrow. If a man should die, can he live again? Hear the promise God has made:

He will call; the dead will answer.
They will live at his command.
For he will have a longing for the work of his own hand.
So have faith, and do not wonder, for our God can make us stand. And we will live forever, as the work of his own hand.

Friends of our God, though they may pass away, will never be forsaken. All those asleep who in God’s memory stay, from death he will awaken. Then we’ll come to see all that life can be: paradise eternally.

He will call; the dead will answer.
They will live at his command.
For he will have a longing for the work of his own hand.
So have faith, and do not wonder, for our God can make us stand. And we will live forever, as the work of his own hand.

Based on: Job 14:13-15; John 5:28, 29 John 6:40; 11:11, 43; James 4:14

Johnny and I worked together for a very short time with NB Power in 1965. I remember him as the most willing worker who went about his tasks with both enthusiasm and care. Johnny was also one of the most congenial persons I have ever me and he always had time to talk whenever our paths crossed in later years. I will keep his memory and his family in my thoughts and prayers............Brian

A Heart of Pain

When the hailstones of hurt pelt our heart in life it can feel for a time that our heart will never be the same again for its pain pierces deeply into the fabric of our being. Our hearts bare the scars of many past hurts but if we allow ourselves to feel things through and not be afraid of what our hearts convey to us, rather than become toughened or bitter those scars of knowledge transform in us a heart more strengthened than ever before - one more useful to renew and bolster others. So my fellow warriors while you show your brave faces and secure smiles know that when other experienced hearts look into yours - they feel you too. Let your reflective tears flow freely in private, let others love you back and give your heart the the time to write its chapter of life and recover. But especially remember, Jehovah God stands closest to you and feels you through every single beat of healing.
......From a Heart that's Learned

In Memory of My Dad, John Henry Kingston

By Brent Kingston

If I only had Five Minutes...the morning you passed away,
I would have had time to tell you all the things I needed to say.

I never got to tell you how much you mean to me,
Or that you were the best dad, better than any dad could be.

The last time that I talked to you
I wish I would have known.
I would have said ..I love you,
and you could hear me on the phone.

If I only had Five Minutes..
the morning you passed away,
I'd let you wet your finger then in my ear
And watch your mischievous smile
until you could see me with a sneer

I did get to kiss your cheek and told you it's okay to go
And that I will always love you..
more than you'll ever know.

But you were gone so quickly,
One last car ride you'd take.
Before I even knew it,
It was time to follow your faith.

If I only had only those Five Minutes..
I would say .......

I Love you Dad

My deepest sympathy to the family of Johnny Kingston. His NB Power income provided a lot of good snacks, food and cook overs at his old family home on Peltoma Settlement Road. My mother and his wife were good friends for years, thus making it a second home. Many an hour spent with his family...all good memories...Love Darlene Nason
