It is with heavy hearts the family wishes to announce that Maxine Ann (Mersereau) Jones of Hoyt passed away on February 17, 2019 at Hospice Fredericton at the age of 87. Maxine was born in Welsford, NB, on October 25, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Sara Kelly and James Mersereau.  Maxine was the loving wife for 66 years of the late Art Jones.

Maxine was a member of the Patterson United Church, Ladies Aid, UCW, Patterson Historical Society, Eastern Star and the Gladstone Curling Club.

Maxine is survived by her daughters; Louann (Avery) Brawn, Ruth (John) Richardson, Debbie (Tim) Bigger, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, Maxine is also predeceased by her two sisters; Barbara Hasson and Yvonne Mersereau.

Visitations will be held at Sunbury Funeral Home in Central Blissville NB on Wednesday February 20, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The funeral will be on Thursday February 21, 2019 at 11am at Patterson United Church, with Rev. Susan Gamblin officiating. Interment will be in the Patterson United Church Cemetery in the spring.
