Comeau, Roger James– With great sadness, the family of Roger James Comeau of Barrington, NS, formerly of Tracy NB, announce his sudden passing in New Jersey, USA on August 14, 2018. Born in Digby, NS on November 24, 1950 to Theresa (Jordan) Comeau and the late Henry Comeau.
Roger has been driving a truck since he was 18 years old. He started driving a truck for Coca-Cola, he then hauled wood and has hauled many different kinds of cargo over the years. He started his own trucking company in 1981 and has been hauling seafood along with his son Chris. Many people didn’t know that Roger was an excellent cook and baker. He could grill you a steak to perfection and make a carrot cake that would melt in your mouth!
Roger is survived by his mother Theresa Comeau, son Christopher (Tania) Comeau, daughter Amy (Bobby) Welsh, step-son Ian Nickerson, grandchildren; Cheyenne (Tyler) Hogan, Jason Comeau, Jesse Comeau, brothers; James Comeau, Brian (Elizabeth) Comeau, sister Diane (Donnie) Harris, several Aunts and Uncles, nieces and nephews, his faithful and loving Tottie and a huge amount of friends and members of the trucking community.
Along with his father, Roger is also predeceased by his son Jason Roger Comeau and sister in law Clairette Comeau.
Family and friends are invited to St. Marks Anglican Church, Tracy NB on Wednesday August 22, 2018 for visitations between 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. Marks Anglican Church on Thursday August 23, 2018 at 11:00am with Rev. James Appleton officiating. Interment will be in St. Marks Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tri-County Minor Hockey , Port Clyde Truckers Jamboree or to a charity of your choice.
