Hartt, Thomas Richard (Dick), of Fredericton Junction, NB, passed away on December 1, 2019. Dick was born in Fredericton Junction on July 15, 1935 to the late Edna (Fletcher) Bean and David Vincent Hartt. He is the husband of Donna (Nason) Hartt.
Dick is survived by his wife Donna of 62 years, one daughter Tammy Gaudet of Rusagonis, two sons; Bruce (Marie) Hartt of Ottawa and Tom (Sandra) Hartt of P.E.I., two sisters Patricia Westerson and Sandra Hartt, two grandchildren Jenny (Jerett) and Bradley (Morgan), two step grandchildren Charmaine (Scot) and Philip (Melissa), two great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren and two nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, Dick was predeceased by his son-in-law Danny Gaudet, brother in-law Frederick Westerson and stepfather Frank Bean.
Most mornings you could find Dick at the diner having coffee with the boys! He looked forward to spending his summers golfing, gardening, spending time with his family at Yoho lake and in his younger days, playing baseball and fishing. During the winter he enjoyed curling, old-timers hockey, the sugarbush and hunting with his friends. In later years he and Donna spent the winter months in Florida. He was a member of several community organizations: the Sunbury West Historical Society, Masonic Lodge Alexandria #33, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55, St. Andrews Anglican Church, Member of the Board of White Rapids Manor and Treasurer of the Fredericton Junction Ambulance.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at the Sunbury Funeral Home on Wednesday December 4, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A Masonic service will be at 5:45 pm, Masons are asked to meet at the Sunbury Funeral Home at 5:15 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrews Anglican Church, Fredericton Junction, N.B. on Thursday December 5, 2019 at 11:00 am with The Most Reverend Claude Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Gladstone Cemetery in the spring.
