Shannon, Katherine Ann (Blizzard). It is with broken hearts the family wishes to announce the passing of Katherine Ann Shannon (Blizzard) of Rusagonis, NB, on July 10, 2018 after her courageous battle with cancer. Kathy was born June 15, 1958 to the late Darlene (Moore) and Arthur Blizzard. 

Katherine is survived by her husband Josh, loving son Michael, sister Susan Blizzard and uncles Earle Blizzard (Barbara) and Tom Blizzard (Nancy), Step children, Jeff and Corey Shannon and Kim Morrison, niece Jesse Blizzard, and chosen sister Cindy Dickinson.

Along with her parents, Kathy is predeceased by her brother Mike (Jed), grandparents Doug and Georgena Blizzard, as well as Pearl and Myles Yeomons.

Katherine was a 42 year employee and Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital as a clerk in various capacities. She was known as a marathon shopper and for her love of flowers, embroidering, and horses. Kathy adored and loved her family deeply. Her smile, which would light up a room, will be missed.

The family would like to thank doctor’s Ginson and Burnell as well as the staff of 4SE and Oncology for the special care they provided to Kathy throughout her battle.

Visitations will be held at the St. Marks Anglican Church in Tracy NB on Thursday July 12, 2018 from 5-8pm.  The funeral will be held at St. Marks Anglican Church on Friday July 13, 2018 at 2:00pm.  Following the service, interment will be in St. Columba Catholic Cemetery, in Fredericton Junction.  Donations in memory of Katherine may be given to Hospice House or donor’s choice.  Arrangements are in the professional care of SUNBURY FUNERAL HOME, Central Blissville, NB (368-2413). sunburyfuneralhome.com
