It is with heavy hearts that the family of Angela Rita (Merrithew) Hughson of Fredericton, NB announce her passing at home on July 7, 2023. Angel was born in Fredericton, NB on February 18, 1961, to the late Phyllis Gertrude (Edmondson) and George Nelson Merrithew.

Angel will be greatly missed by her devoted husband Kenneth Hughson, her daughter Meaghan, son Shalta, four sisters; Jane (Wesley) Shepard, Phyllis Turnbull, Nancy (Victor) Stilham and Faye (Peter)  Walker, two brothers: John (Sarah) and Ronnie (Sue) Merrithew, and several nieces and nephews. 

Angel was a kind and loving person, her husband always said that “she loved people”.  She loved spending time with her family. And she was a very hard-working person, always doing every job to the best of her ability. Angel was loved by everyone that met her, she would never forget you and would always have a kind word whenever you met again.   

Angel is predeceased by a brother William Merrithew and a brother-in-law Ralph Turnbull. 

Respecting  Angel’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service at this time.
