Annie Ruth (Burtt) Carr

Surrounded by family, Annie Carr passed peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on August 21, 2025.  Annie was born in New Jerusalem, Queens Co. on June 11, 1936 to the late Ruth (Elder) and Charlie Burtt.  Annie was the devoted wife of the late Byron Carr.

Annie will be dearly missed by her three daughters; Leola (Steve) Langille, Pamela (Michael) Brown and Ann (Norman Kenny) Sparks, two sons; Tony ( Angela)  and Elbridge (Christy Collicott) Carr, three sisters; Margaret Golden, Evelyn (Danny) McCracken and Mildred (Art) Munn, two brothers; George (Ruth) and Robert (Debbie) Burtt, a special niece Norma ( Joey) Barrieau, fifteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Annie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was a retired teacher and taught at many locations including Fredericton Junction, NB.  She was a  Member of the Gladstone Ladies Curling Club.  And, in her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting as well as reading.

Friends and family are invited to Visitations on Monday, August 25th, 2025 from 6 to 8 pm at Sunbury Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 26th, 2025 at 11 am from the Blissville Baptist Church with Rev. Sara Palmater officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations in Annie’s name to the Blissville Baptist Church or the Tri-County Complex.
