It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of April Marie Piercy on March 19, 2023. Born in Rhode Island on January 8, 1953, she was predeceased by her parents, Hector and Eleanor (Fancy) Hartlen and her eldest sister Dale (Mickey) Carmichael.                                                                                                                                                                                                 April is survived by her loving husband Jim and two children Trevor (Rebecca) and Roxanne (Jeremy), her grandchildren Brooke, Sierra, Thomas, Nevaeh, and Ellie, as well as her sisters Angela (Brent) and Katrina (John), her niece Kadie and great-niece Kalah.                                                                                                                                                                                                       She loved her family, spending time at the campground with friends, and caring for animals, especially her dogs. Always ready with a witty joke, a hot tip for a great sale, or a supply of Cheez Whiz for her grandchildren, April will be greatly missed.

Family and Friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home for visitations on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 5 pm to 8 pm. There will be a private graveside service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in April’s memory to the SPCA or to Hospice House.

Because of health reasons, family would kindly request all who visit the Funeral Home to please wear a mask.
