It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of their dear mother Beverly Ann (Worden) Shannon at Hospice House in Fredericton on June 17, 2024. She is survived by her loving children Mark (Heather), Shelley Knorr (David), Deanna Pospolita (Mike), Monica (Troy) and Tracey Parker (Richard), brother Tommy Worden, sisters-in-law Lois Worden and Doreen Lingley, and brothers-in-law Charlie Shannon (Coleen) and George Shannon. She will be fondly remembered by her 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and her many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Bev will also be missed by her special friends Cathy Campbell and Eilona Smith whom she loved to spend time with.

Bev was predeceased by her loving husband Greg Shannon, her parents Archibald and Hilda (Byers) Worden, brothers Willard, Norman, Edward, George, Clyde, Douglas and sisters Bernice Melvin, Rose Densmore and Alberta Knorr.

Bev loved being with her family during special gatherings and holidays or just having them pop in for a visit. She enjoyed cooking special treats for their birthdays, especially German Chocolate cake, fudge and cinnamon pinwheels made from leftover pie crust. She passed the time with diamond painting, watching curling and game shows, and going to Bingo in Hoyt every Thursday night.

Special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Hospice House who made Bev feel like a queen during her brief time there.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, June 20,2024 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Sunbury Funeral Home in Central Blissville, NB. The Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 21, 2024 at St. Columba Catholic Church in Fredericton Junction, NB.  Internment will follow in the St. Columba Catholic Cemetery.
