Hoyt, Britney Emerson The family of Britney Emerson Hoyt (Brit) of Hoyt, NB wish to sadly announce his sudden passing in Northern Alberta on January 27, 2022. Brit was born on June 5, 1965 in Saint John NB to Jean Beverly (Emerson) and the late Lorne Britney Hoyt. He was the loving husband of Pam Garrett.
Along with his wife and mother, Brit is survived by three children; Brian Davidson (Ashton) of Tracy NB, Courtney Anderson (Jarrid) of Hoyt NB, and Brandon Davidson (Georgia) of Tracy NB,four grandchildren; Graham, Connor, Xavier and Joey, a sister Karen Hoyt of Saint John NB, his father in-law Graham Garrett of Hoyt NB, brothers in-law Michael Garrett (Kathy) of Hoyt NB and Stephen Garrett (Anne) of Oromocto NB, a special nephew Mathew Gibb, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Brit served with the 3rd Field Artillery Regiment right out of High School up until his retirement, with the rank of Sergeant, in 2014. After retiring from the Reserves he worked with PineRidge Chippers in Northern Alberta, up until his death.
Brit enjoyed being outside, especially at the camp with his wife Pam, family and their dogs. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, of which he had a very special bond with Joey. The two spent much time together, playing ball with the dogs, walking to the bus stop and of course teaming up and teasing Nanny.
Brit’s dogs meant the world to him, he leaves behind Brownie, Sammy, Jack and a special grand puppy, Dixie.
Along with his father, Brit is predeceased by his mother in-law Marion Garrett and brother in-law Richard Garrett.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home in Central Blissville, NB on Wednesday February 9, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. The funeral Service will be private, by invitation only. For those who wish, donations to the Oromocto SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
