It is with great sadness that the family of David Washburn of Wirral, NB announce his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on October 23, 2023.  David was born in Fredericton Junction, NB on June 24, 1952 to the late Mabel (MacDonald) and Hibbert Washburn.   He was the loving husband for over 50 years of Anna M. Washburn.

Along with Anna, David will be missed by his three sons; Travis (Katie), Tyler (Jennifer Day) and Trent (Elba) Washburn, a sister Barbara (Robert) Dryden , and seven grandchildren; Brandon, Ava, Hannah, Luna, Leia, Jessica and Jacob,  sisters-in-law Sheila and Jean Washburn and several nieces and nephews.

David was an Industrial Electrician, owning his own business at one point sending electrical panels all over the world.  He also worked on the base for 8 years as an electrical instructor.  He was a family man, enjoyed his time at the camp with family and friends.  In his spare time, he loved to go hunting, fishing and four wheeling.

Family and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home for Visitations on Thursday October 26, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8pm.  A funeral Service will be held on Friday October 27, 2023 at 11am from Sunbury Funeral Home with Rev. Sarah Palmater officiating. Interment will follow in the Wirral Baptist Cemetery.

As well as his parents, He is predeceased by his son Tyson, sisters;  baby Caroline, Audrey (Doug) and Diane (Charles), and his two brothers; Owen and Larry Washburn.

Those who wish to make a donation in David’s name may do so to the Wirral Baptist Church and Cemetery.
