Diane Cobham Obituary

It is with great sadness for the family of Diane Marie Cobham, wife of Percy, of Fredericton Junction share that she passed away on June 21, 2025 at the Oromocto Public Hospital.  She was the daughter of the late Willard and Laura Amero of Plympton, NS.

Diane was a devoted wife, step-mother, grandmother and aunt.
She worked for many years in the hospitality field, as well as on the Princess Acadia Ferry.

In her spare time, Diane enjoyed cooking, knitting, quilting, designing & printing her own greeting cards, watching classic television shows and going on long road trips with Percy.   Many of the mementoes that Diane made, like the quilts, the hats, the scarves and the mittens are still used and treasured by family and friends today.  Her chocolate cake with boiled frosting and her beet cake with vanilla frosting were favourites of everyone.

In addition to her husband Percy, she is survived by her stepchildren; John Cobham (son Tevin), Beth Shaw (husband Doug, daughters Paula & Cara), Jean Thibodeau (sons Jason, Nathan & Austin) and Susan Cobham (partner Tony, children Tera, Billy & Damon); sisters in law Judy Hamilton (husband Wallace) & Shelia (partner Larry) White; numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter, nieces and nephews, and many friends. She was predeceased by her brothers; Danny, Keith & Frankie Amero.

The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the Oromocto Public Hospital-W.R. Duffy Unit for caring for Diane. As well to Wayne & Bessie Baker, Laurie Nason and Sandra Dorie for being there for Percy & Diane.

In keeping with Diane’s wishes, there will be a small gathering at the Sunbury funeral home on Thursday June 26, 2025 from 1-3pm with a service to begin at 3pm at the same location, with father Suresh Savariraj Officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Diane’s memory can be made to The Community Food Group or the Canadian Diabetes Association.  To send a message of condolence to Percy and the family, please email her stepson John at jocobham@nbnet.nb.ca
