Donna Leigh (Luke) Jonah

Jonah (Luke), Donna Leigh The family of Donna Jonah of Tracy, NB, wishes to announce her passing on December 23, 2021. Donna was born in Alert Bay, B.C. on January 6, 1966, to Alfreda Mersereau and the late James Luke.  She is the loving wife of Stephen Jonah of Tracy, NB.

Along with her husband, Donna is survived by her three children; Dustin Luke (Amiee), Jessica Jonah (Jared) and Joshua Jonah, a sister Sylvia Whitaker (Eric) and a brother Terry Luke (Pam), grandchildren; Brayden Luke, Elizabeth & Alexander Gallagher, sisters in-law Kim Erickson (Hazen), Dianne Jonah and Alison Lamrock, brother in-law Michael Jonah (Sylvia),  as well as several nieces and nephews.

 Donna started out her life with a bang, her mother went into labor and had to be rushed across the ocean in a speed boat to get to the closest hospital in Alert BC.  Since then, she has lived her life to the fullest.  Family and friends that knew her best called her “Giggles”, “Greco” or “Donut”.  She loved the outdoors but hated being cold!  She loved to hunt, camp and traveling on the 4-wheeler (as long as the roads weren’t too rough!).  She also enjoyed games and was always up for a game of cards with family and friends.

Along with her father, Donna is predeceased by parents-in-law Gloria and Gesner Jonah, stepfather Eric Mersereau, grandparents Willette and Alphie Mowry and Joseph and Isabelle Luke, brother-in-law Gary Jonah, and nephews Tony Luke and Robert Erickson.

Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home in Central Blissville, NB on Thursday December 30, 2021 from 4-7pm.   

Masks are mandatory along with Proof of Vaccinations at this time to protect our loved ones from Covid-19. Social Distancing and 50% capacity within the Funeral Home will be enforced.
