Douglas Staples Obituary
It is with much sadness, that we announce the passing of our brother Doug Staples, on June 16, 2022 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, N.B.
Doug was born in Halifax February 9, 1949 to parents Earl and June Staples.
He is survived by three sons, Doug, Joe, and Steve, sisters Julie (Tom), Wendy, Margaret (Bernell), Nancy and brother Earl, his nieces and nephews Marc (France), Leanne (Hugo), Stephanie (Chris), Kristin (Sebastien), Shawn (Jennifer), Tobie (Mark), and Matthew, his aunts Olga, Lorraine, Judy, Jeanne and numerous cousins.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Marjorie and June.
A special thank you to Dr. Young, Dr. Howatt, Dr. Aslam, nurses Laura, Sierra, Marlee, Dominique, Tabitha and Hayley, whose professionalism and compassion, made these difficult days a little easier.
A private funeral will be held at a later date in Halifax. For those who wish, a donation in Doug's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, or a charity of the donor's choice.
