Florence Marguerite (Nason) Jones

Jones, Florence Marguerite (Nason) - Florence M. Jones (Nason) passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side at the Turnbull Home in Saint John, NB on August 22, 2021, at the age of 98. Born in Rusagonis, NB, on June 25, 1923, daughter of the late Lillian (Hubble) and Perley Nason.  Florence was the loving wife of the late Lloyd Jones. 

She was survived by her daughters; Gwen McCann of Nerepis, NB, and Cathy Jones (Paul Drew) of Saint John, a brother Arthur Nason (Lorraine), grandchildren; Scott (Kate), Steven (Marlise), Jeff (Kara), great grandchildren; Keltee, Cooper, Ella, Nolan and Marion, brothers/sisters in law; Keith Jones (Esther), Bob Jones (Alvina), and Aletha Jones, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, Florence is predeceased by sisters Verna Daigle (Alyre) and Vivien Noble, son in law Phillip McCann, brothers/sisters in law Frances (Jonsie), Pauline (Francis), Lois (Edwin), Arthur (Maxine), and Murray.

Florence was a teacher for over 32 years in numerous rural communities. Having spent most of her life in Wirral, she was an active member of the Patterson United Church, and Wirral community organizations.

 Florence’s family would like to thank the staff of Turnbull Home for the excellent care they provide for her during her stay there.

Visitation will be at Patterson United Church from 10 -10:45 am on Friday August 27, 2021. Funeral service will be at 11 am.  Interment will follow at the Patterson United Church Cemetery.
