On Saturday October 22, 2022, Geraldine Alethia Barnes (Fowler) passed away peacefully at home at age 83. Residing in Wirral, New Brunswick, she was the Daughter of the late Kathleen and Eric Fowler and loving wife to Edward, her husband of 63 years. She was predeceased by their Son Edward Junior and also survived by their son Richard (Stephanie), her daughters Michelle (Derrick-deceased), Dianne (Bruce), their grandchildren Michael, Jason, Vanessa, Joe and great grandchildren Lacie, Holly, Gina, Zoey, Madelyn, Hudson, Callie, Casey and Emma. She was survived by her Sisters and Brother Ruby, Hazel (Ron), Kitty (Richard-deceased), Maxine (Leo-deceased), Ruth (Joe), Weston (Kim). 

During her life, she enjoyed spending winters in Florida and dancing with Ed and her friends at the clubs and the legion. Her love and devotion to animals was prevalent throughout her life and she passed this on to her children. She was an avid cook and baker and loved taking care of her husband and children. She made a mean "Jiggs Dinner" and "Hot Spaghetti". A true Newfoundlander, her heart always drifted back home where she was beloved by her family and friends. She spent her summers there visiting her Sisters and spending time at their cottage in Winterbrook on the bay. Her husband and children fondly remember the holidays when she spent countless hours preparing costumes, decorations and meals to ensure the wonderful memories they carry in their hearts. Her life was always filled with music. She loved her old 45s and one of her all time favourites was Freddy Fender. Her kind and gentle soul will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In keeping with Geraldine’s wishes, there will be no Visitations or Service at this time.
