Glendon Eastwood Obituary

Obituary for Glendon Arthur Eastwood

It is with profound love and cherished memories that we announce the passing of our beloved patriarch, Glendon Arthur Eastwood, on July 24, 2025. Born on March 7, 1957, in Fredericton Junction to Parker and Lilian Eastwood, Glen embodied the essence of family, love, and unwavering faith throughout his life.

Predeceased by his devoted parents, Parker and Lilian, as well as his beloved sisters, Christel Roberts and Shirley Rennick, Glen carried the spirit of family in his heart. He is now reunited with those who have gone before him, including his cherished mother and father-in-law Margaret and Ron Good, brother-in-laws Richard Nason, David Good, Jim Arey and sister-in-law Dorothy Eastwood and dear nephews Everett Nason and Brian Duplisea.

Glen leaves behind his adoring wife of 45 years, Karan (Good) Eastwood, who was not only his partner but his greatest confidante. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and countless memories. Their bond was further enriched by their two devoted daughters, Pamela Charest (Pascal) and Diana Eastwood, who filled his life with immeasurable pride. Glen treasured working along-side his buddy and son-in-law Pascal Charest, Glen delighted in every moment spent with his grandchildren—Julia and Nathan, and his great grand-daughter; his little sunshine, Ivy—who will carry forward his legacy of love.

Glen’s love for life was contagious, a beacon of hope and happiness to everyone who knew him. He leaves behind not only a loving family—siblings Ronnie (Elizabeth), Joy (Richard), Jim (Gale), Alan (Bev), and Debbie—but also several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his beloved farming family, all of whom were touched by his warmth and generosity.

Glen was a man who lived life large, embracing each day with an unwavering positivity and a heart full of gratitude. His deep-seated values and steadfast faith guided him through life, teaching those around him the importance of hard work and joy in simple moments. As an industrial mechanic, Glen honed his innovative mind, demonstrating an extraordinary ability to visualize and create. He was a master builder, not just in his career but in every aspect of life, particularly on the cherished property that he inherited from his father. Glen poured his heart and soul into working the land, ensuring that it not only nourished his family but also served as a testament to his commitment to providing for those he loved.

In addition to his many accomplishments, he had a profound love for farming that shaped his life and the lives of those around him. From nurturing a vibrant garden that provided fresh produce for his family’s table to dedicating himself to raising high-quality beef, his passion for the land was evident in every endeavor he undertook. Over the years, he found an unexpected yet cherished chosen family among fellow farmers, whom he affectionately referred to as his farming family. For 30 plus years, these deep-rooted relationships became a cornerstone of his life, filled with laughter, support, and a shared commitment to their craft. The friendships he built with his farming brothers were a source of immense joy and pride, and their bonds brought meaning to his days, leaving a legacy of camaraderie and love for generations to come.

Beyond the boundaries of family, Glen was dedicated to giving back to the community that he cherished. His contributions to the Wirral Agriculture Society, Citizens Credit Union Board of Directors, Tri-County Complex, and South Oromocto Lake Fire Department were a testament to his generous spirit and unwavering belief in the power of community. He understood the profound connection between individuals and the greater good, embodying a legacy of service that will inspire others for years to come.

As we say farewell to Glen, we celebrate a life lived with purpose, love, and an indomitable spirit. His memory will be forever etched in our hearts, guiding us as we carry forward the lessons he imparted—wisdom born of faith, dedication, and above all, the immeasurable love he had for his family and community. May we honor him by living our lives with the same love and optimism that defined his.

Rest in peace, dear Dad. You will be forever missed, but your spirit will live on in all of us.
