Gregory Allen Shannon

   Greg Shannon.  It is with great sadness that the family of Gregory Allen Shannon announces his passing on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the age of 83 years. 

     Greg will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Bev and his children Mark (Heather), Shelley (David) Knorr, Deanna (Mike) Pospolita, Monica and Tracey (Richard) Parker.  He will also be fondly remembered by his ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brothers Charlie (Coleen), George, sister Doreen and many nephews, nieces and extended family and friends.  His great hugs will be surely missed.

     Greg’s pride and joy was his wife and family.  He always looked forward to visits and family get togethers.  He was an avid woodsman and spent many hours with a power saw in his hands.  He loved being outside and keeping busy.  Greg was also a very community minded, giving person.  He gave many volunteer hours to the Hoyt Fall Fair Committee and was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed.

     The family would like to thank Dr Rob Stevenson and Dr Christine Pippy for the exceptional, compassionate care they provided.  As well, a special thanks to the NB Heart Center staff for their wonderful care that went above and beyond.

     Donations may be made to St. Columba Cemetery Fund or the charity of donor’s choice.

    Visitations will be at Sunbury Funeral Home in Central Blissville, NB on Saturday March 13, 2021 from 2 - 6pm. A private family service will be at St. Columba Catholic Church on Monday.
