Heather Lynn Williams of Fredericton, NB, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on July 5, 2021. Heather was born in Fredericton, NB on October 3, 1956 to the late Joanne (Phillips) and Leo Smith. Heather is the wife of Richard Williams.
Heather loved the work she did and was her happiest while helping others succeed in life. While working for Jack Carr she had the opportunity to engage and work alongside community leaders and always advocated for people less fortunate, this type of work is what defined Heather as a person and leader.
Heather was a beautiful soul that lived a rich life. Friends and family have always benefited from her culinary wisdom. It had a way of bringing us together.
Heather would drop whatever she was doing to stop and help anyone. She deeply loved her family, it didn’t matter if you were related or not; she took you in as “family”. She was always there to help anyone along their journey.
Heather will forever be remembered for her big heart, compassion and strength.
Along with her husband Richard, Heather is survived by four daughters; Shannon Chappelle (Craig), Melanie Forret (Tom), Shelley Williams (Dan), Tammy Williams (Jodie), a son Michael Williams (Tiana), four sisters; Caroline Sopuck (Bob), Lee Ann Smith, Lou Ann Smith, Rose Ann Smith (Tim), grandchildren; Tyler(Jessie), Brittany(Adam), Jonathan, Taylor, Ilyana, Roman, Isabella, Logan, Dimitri, Arthur, Riley and Evan, great-grandchildren Caleb, Cailey, Shawnee and Gracelyn ,Special Aunt, Mabel, sister in law Kim, many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Besides her parents, Heather is predeceased by a son, Stephen Williams, grandson Cody, brother Mike Youritchuk, brother in law, David Shears, nephew, Raymond, and great niece Harper.
