James Edward Donovan

Donovan, James. It is with sadness that we announce the passing of James Edward Donovan on November 9, 2014 at the White Rapids Manor in Fredericton Junction.

Born in Enniskillen, NB on May 14, 1941, to the late Joan (Lannen) Donovan and Timothy Donovan.

Jim married Janet(Killam) in 1974, together they raised two children; Martha and Tim (Crystal) and grandchildren, Cole and Kaitlyn Donovan. Jim was an Oil Burner Mechanic and worked at DND, Base Gagetown for 35 years, retiring in 1996. Jim loved the outdoors, farming life, the woods and managing his woodlot. Jim was also a member of Knights of Columbus.

Also survived by his sisters; Mary Tennant, Joan Mitchell, brother, Mike Donovan(Thelma), sister-in-law June Donovan. Besides his parents, Jim is predeceased by a brother, Pat Donovan, brothers-in-law, Alan Mitchell and Paul Tennant.

Visitations will take place at Sunbury Funeral Home, Blissville, NB on Tuesday, Nov. 11 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.  Funeral Service will be at St. Columba Catholic Church on Wednesday, Nov 12, at 2pm with Father Mark Trzop officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jim to White Rapids Manor Mini Bus, Parkinson Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
