Joan Joyce Arbeau (Sturney).
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan Joyce Arbeau on February 16, 2026, at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Joan was born in Fredericton Junction on October 2, 1951, to late Winnifred (Wilkins) and John Sturney.
Joan is survived by her son, Doug (Tricia) Arbeau, three sisters; Nellie Devaney (Frank), Carol Phillips, Christine Blyth, her brother Kenneth Sturney (Cathy) along with her 2 grandsons; Brayden and James plus several nieces and nephews.
Joan worked in retail then became a Home Care Worker. In her spare time, she enjoyed travelling, camping, crossword puzzles, playing bingo, darts and her daily daytime tv. Joan found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
A committal ceremony will take place in the spring where family and friends will gather to honor Joans life and lay her to rest.
Joan will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved her.
If you wish, a donation may be made in memory of Joan to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Chalmers Regional Hospital Foundation Inc.
