Kevin Donald John Mott

Mott, Kevin Donald (John) – It is with great sadness, the family wishes to announce the passing of Kevin Mott. Surrounded by his family, he passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on May 1, 2020. Kevin (John), as his family knew him, was born on March 26, 1961 in Fredericton Junction, NB. He was the son of the late Margaret (Jones) and Worden Mott.

Kevin was a carpenter by trade and later went on to become a cabinet maker, He was employed with the University of New Brunswick for 19 years in the Carpentry Shop at Facilities Management as a carpenter/cabinetmaker. He loved camping and telling stories and jokes around the campfire with the people he loved.

Kevin is survived by his loving wife Leonora of 34 years, daughter Annie Mott, the apple of his eye, four sisters; Rose Gillett (Freeman), Janet Griffiths, Carol Reid (Ernie) and Dawn Marie Mowry (Blaine), five brothers; Claire (Nadine), Bob (Pauline), Winston (Susan), Dean (Anne), Raymond (Vicky), Brothers-in-law; Albert Golden, Russell (Rose) Theriault, Greg (Gloria) Theriault, Dale (Carol) Theriault, Sister-In-law; Brenda (Robert) Libby, and several nieces, nephews. Kevin was also blessed to be Jessica Pospolita and Gage Dempsey's Godfather, as well as a friend to many.

Along with his parents, Kevin is predeceased by his son, John Claire, sisters; Ellen Golden, Jane Yerxa, brother David. Brothers-In-Law; Dan Yerxa, Gary Griffiths, Mother-In-law; Marguerite Theriault, Father-In-law; Wilfred Saulnier.

If you wish, donations may be made in memory of Kevin to the Canadian Liver Foundation, or a charity of your choice. Visitations will be held at Sunbury Funeral Home in Central Blissville NB on Tuesday July 21, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Because of COVID 19, the funeral is private.
