Marjorie Helen Mary (Biggar) Cavanaugh

Cavanaugh, Marjorie Helen Mary – With great sadness, we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Marjorie (Biggar) Cavanaugh, in Saint John on January 22, 2015.  Born and raised in Biggar Ridge, New Brunswick on June 16, 1921. She was the daughter of the late James Hazen and Florence (Barter) Biggar. After their marriage, she and   her husband Lawrence moved to Wirral where they raised their family.  She was a homemaker all her life sacrificing much for her children. She belonged to the Anglican Church, 1950 Orange LOBA, Hospital Aid and the Womens Institute. Following her husband’s passing, she moved to Grand Bay and then Saint John, spending her final years at The Church of St John and St Stephen Home.  A special thanks is due to all the folks there for the wonderful care she received.  Thanks also to niece Charlene Welch and friend Susan Evelegh for their visits and kindness to Mum. They brought her much happiness.

She is survived by sons: Gerald, Hubbards, NS, Harold(Ketah), Saint John,  Michael(Judy), Burton, and George, Port Hawkesbury, NS. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.    Besides her parents she was pre-deceased by her husband Lawrence, daughters Mavis and Bonnie, son Errol,  brothers John and Maurice Biggar.

She is resting at Sunbury Funeral Home, Blissville, NB where visitation will be held on January 25, 2015 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.  Funeral service will take place at Sunbury Funeral Home on Monday January 26, 2015 at 2pm with Bishop George Lemmon officiating.
