Marlene Linda (Jones) Hogan

Linda Marlene Hogan, a beloved mother, grandmother, and partner, passed away on May 20th, 2024, at the age of 69. She was born on July 13th, 1954, in Harvey, NB to the late Mary Ann (Luke-Jones) Martin and Robert Martin and most recently lived in Fredericton Junction, NB

Marlene was predeceased by her loving husband, Charlie Hogan, and spent the last several years with her common-law partner, Frank McLaughlin. Their companionship brought her comfort and joy in her later years.

Marlene had a gentle and nurturing spirit, always finding joy in spending time with her family. She cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, finding immense happiness in the love and laughter shared with her sons, Andrew (Amanda) Hogan and Ashley (Cindy) Hogan, as well as her grandchildren Kylie and Kolby Hogan.

In addition to her loving family, Marlene is survived by her siblings Leona Jones, Barbara Jones, Joey (Ann) Jones, Paul (Barb) Jones, John Jones, and Sandra (Sean) Storey.

 Marlene was predeceased by sisters Rhea (Calvin) Frost, Shirley (Michael) Shannon and Katherine and one brother Robert Jones. She valued the bond she shared with each of them but had a special place in her heart for her older sister Barb Jones and nephew Richard.

Marlene had a passion for simple pleasures and found fulfillment in her favorite hobbies, which included reading, gardening, embroidery, and baking the most delicious homemade bread. Though quiet and shy by nature, Marlene was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Respecting Marlene’s wishes, the family will have a graveside service at a later date.
