The family of Mary Elizabeth Cain are heartbroken to announce her passing at the    Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on May 29, 2025.  Mary was predeceased by her husband Alfred, her parents Stuart and Hannah Gordon and her brother Albert Gordon, as well as her great-granddaughter Rainah Cain.

She is survived by her sons; Michael (Lana) and Kevin (Wendy) Cain, her grandchildren; Laura (Marc), Michelle and Steven Cain, Samantha (Corey) Simpson and Tyler (Hannah) Cain, her great grandchildren; Makyla and Eli Cain, Aiden and Karley Leet and Jackson Simpson.  Also survived by special friend Charlene Roussel and her children Chantal and Alice.

Mary was a kind and compassionate lady whose strength and resiliency throughout life led her to become a cherished mother, grandmother and friend.  She began her career as a teacher in local Villages, such as Harvey, Coles Island and Fredericton Junction.  Then became the Activities Director at White Rapids Manor in Fredericton Junction until her retirement.  Mary was involved in her community and cooked and volunteered many hours for several organizations and events.  An avid quilter, most family members and many friends have a treasured quilt she made with love.  Mary was most happy spending time with her family and will be sadly missed by all those who called her Mum, Gram or just Mary.

Mary has requested no Visitations or Funeral.  Should you wish to make a Memorial Donation, the family suggests the IWK or White Rapids Manor.
