Parker, Murray
With heavy hearts the family of Murray Walter Parker of Enniskillen, NB announces his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on July 29, 2024. Murray was born December 11, 1939 in Fredericton NB to the late Christine (Cosman) and Walter Parker. He was the loving husband of Phyllis (Hogan) Parker.
Murray will be missed by his two daughters; Tammy (Ricky) Mason and Paula (Greg) Mott, three sons; Donnie (Karen), Steve (Leshelle) and Troy Parker, four grandchildren; Murray, Jennifer, Aaron and Chris, four great grandchildren; Alexis, Leah, Christina and Zoey, his sister Isabelle Wilby, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Murray started his military career in 1958 with the Navy as a Weapons Tech aboard the HMCS Assiniboine where he served for 17 years. He then transitioned to the Armed Forces where he retired as a Master Corporal in 1975. He was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish and was a licensed guide for over 40 years. His favorite place to be was his camp.
Along with Murray’s wife and parents, he is also predeceased by a granddaughter Hilary, his sister Suzanne McCann and his three brothers; Wayne, Fred and Patrick Parker.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 55.
Family and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home for Visitations on Thursday August 1st, 2024 from 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Columba Catholic Church on Friday August 2nd, 2024 at 11am with Father Surech officiating.
