Norman Worden Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Norman Levi Worden of Hoyt, NB announce his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in the early hours of March 29, 2022 at the age of 87. 

Norman will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years Lois (Gillett) Worden and his two beloved daughters Christine and husband Stan, Karen and husband Larry.  Norman will also be fondly remembered by his grandson Todd and wife Lyndsay and his great-grandaughter Aubrie who he adored.  He will also be missed by his brother Tommy Worden (Freda), sister Beverly Shannon, special nephew Troy Butler and wife Francine, brothers-in-law George Gillett and George Shannon, sisters-in-law Theresa Butler and Linda (Gillett) Fraser along with several nieces and nephews.

Norman was predeceased by his parents Archie and Hilda (Byers) Worden, brothers Willard, Clyde, George, Edward, Dougie and sisters Bernice, Alberta and Rose.

Norman was born on February 25, 1935 and spent most of his life in Hoyt.  In his younger years he worked for B.E. Hoyt and Sons before spending 42 years as warehouse manager for Canex at CFB Gagetown.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, woodworking, trips to A Lake, watching CNN and listening to country music with his friends on Friday nights.  He had a love for horses and enjoyed making harness, sleds and wagons for ceramic teams of horses.  He was also a former member of the Hoyt Fire Department and Hoyt Recreation Council.

By Norman's request there will be no visitation or funeral.  Burial will be at the Blissville Cemetery at a later date.  You may express your sympathy by making a donation to The Patterson Historical Society Inc., the Blissville Cemetery or a charity of your choice.
