Aubin, Odion (Dale)
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Odion (Dale) Aubin of Tracy, NB announce his passing at Hospice Fredericton on November 7, 2022. Dale was born in Saint Andre, Madawaska County on January 26, 1939, to the late Yvonne (Pelletier) and Frank Aubin. He has been the loving husband of Velma Aubin for over 66 years.
Along with his wife Velma, Dale is survived by two daughters; Teena (Dick) MacDonald and Brenda (James) Harris, four sons; Steven (Esther), Robert (Michelle), Gerry (Cindy) and Danny Aubin, four sisters; Geraldine Fitzgerald, Murielle (Lester) Nason, Alvine (Stephen) Nicholson and Dianne (Robert) Peterson, two brothers; Ivan and Gerald Aubin, fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Dale was self-employed in the Forestry and Trucking Industries and worked on many large construction projects such as the Welland Canal in Ontario, and the Mactaquac Dam. Family and friends talked about his love of dancing, and him and Velma attended many local dances and traveled all over the province looking for a good time. He also enjoyed curling in his spare time and was a lifetime member of the Curling Club in Fredericton Junction. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and working on his woodlot.
Including his parents, Dale is predeceased by two sisters; Irma and Linda, six brothers; Augustin, Etienne, Gildore, Simon, Roger and Stephen.
Family and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home in Central Blissville, NB for Visitations on Thursday November 10, 2022, from 4-7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at The Gladstone Mission Church in Tracy, NB on November 11, 2022 at 2 pm with Rev. Steven Aubin officiating. Interment to follow at St. Columba Church Cemetery. Family would appreciate any donations in Dale’s memory to Hospice Fredericton or the Gladstone Mission Church.
