It is with heavy hearts the family wishes to announce that Pauline Shanks (Jones) of Wirral, NB passed away on March 10, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital at the age of 100. Pauline was born in Wirral, NB, on December 5, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Violet (Kirkpatrick) and Frank Jones.  Pauline was the loving wife of the late Francis Shanks.

One of Pauline’s passions was music; she was the Patterson United Church Organist and Choir director for over 70 years.  She was a member of several church organizations including; Ladies Aid, and UCW.  She was also a member of the Patterson Historical Society, and the Eastern Star.

Pauline is survived by her two brothers; Keith (Esther) Jones of Fredericton and Robert (Alvina) Jones of Douglas, sisters in law Florence (Lloyd), Althea (Murray) and also many several nieces and nephews, and her best furry friend Dixie Mae.

Along with her husband and parents, Pauline is predeceased by an infant son, two sisters; Frances and Lois, and three brothers; Lloyd, Arthur and Murray.

A Thank-you goes out to all the special Care Givers and neighbours who took such good care of Pauline over the past 5 years.  You know who you are.

Visitations will be held at Sunbury Funeral Home in Central Blissville NB on Sunday March 14, 2021 from 2-5 pm. Funeral service will be Monday March 15, 2021 at  2 pm at the Christian Reformed Church, 121 McAdam Ave, Fredericton. NB.  Because of the limitations on gatherings, the funeral is by invitation only.

Interment will be at Patterson United Church Cemetery in the spring. For those who wish, donations to the Patterson United Church, SPCA or Branch 55 RCL, Fredericton Junction would be appreciated by the family.
