It is with heavy hearts that the family of Randy Michael Gillett announce his sudden passing at home on January 7, 2023.    Randy was born in Fredericton Junction, NB on September 5, 1962 to George Gillett and the late Anna (Kirkpatrick).

Along with his father, he will be greatly missed by his four sisters; Kathy (Roy) Johnston, Brenda Gillett, Pam Shannon and Sherry Gillett, a brother Ricky (Gail) Gillett, aunts, one uncle, cousins, and several nieces and nephews.  He will also be remembered by his Leon’s work family and Softball family.

Randy was a devoted son and brother, always helping out when needed.  He worked for 35 years at Leons Furniture Store as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk.  Randy was a member of the Hoyt Schooners from 1980 to 2005.  He was also a member of the Oromocto and Area Wall of Fame and NB Softball Hall of Fame as a member of the Hoyt Schooners. 

Along with his mother Anna, Randy was also predeceased by his grandparents; Leland and Ruby Kirkpatrick , and Roy and Dolly Gillett and his little dog Benji.

Family and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home in Central Blissville, NB for Visitations on Thursday January 12, 2023 from 4-9pm.  A Celebration of Life and Burial will be in the spring.   

The family would appreciate donations in Randy’s memory to the Hoyt Rec Center, The Lung Association or Donor’s choice.
