The Good Lord took our Dear Mother, Ruby, to rest with him on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Mom had struggled valiantly to recover from a battle with cancer, and in the end was granted comfort and peace by our Eternal Father in Heaven. The Daughter of Arnold and Lorena Charlton (deceased) of Hoyt, NB, Mom is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Harry, and her three children Wayne (Brenda) Charlton, Wanda (Nick) McCann and Darrell (Lori) Butler of Hoyt and a special daughter, Helen Blanchard.  All will be forever thankful for having such a wonderful and caring Mother. Her grandchildren Richard, Paul (Tara), Michael, Daniel, Allison and Gregory were all very precious to her, and she treated them with special love and devotion. There was always a gleam in her eye when she was visited by her great grandchildren Jake, Josh, Alex and Nathan. Ruby is survived by many loving nieces and nephews who continued to remain dear to her.

Ruby was predeceased by her brothers Percy, Harry, John, Roy, Ross and sisters Evelyn, Stella and Mildred. 

Mom enjoyed having visitors and would go to great lengths in making their stay comfortable, providing delicious meals, and a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere.

Arrangements are in the care of Sunbury Funeral Home, Central Blissville, NB with visitation on Friday, April 4^th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Funeral service will be held at the Patterson United Church, Wirral, NB on Saturday, April 5^th at 2:00 pm.  We wish to thank Dr. Gowan, Dr. Digby and the many nurses of 3 East and Palliative Care, DECH, who provided compassion, professional knowledge, support and hugs during a very difficult time.  Donations to the Patterson United Church would be appreciated by the family or charity of the donors choice.
