It is with heavy hearts the family wishes to announce that Ruby Margaret Underwood (Charters) of Hoyt, NB passed away peacefully on June 8, 2021 at home. Ruby was born in Harvey, NB, on July 10, 1953 and was the daughter of the late Mary (McDermott) and William Charters.

Ruby is survived by her husband Brian Underwood and her children; Fred (Kari), Pam (Charlie), Jeffery (Crystal), Holly (Trenton) and daughter-in-law Lori (Jim) as well as 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her brothers and sisters; Allan Thompson (Sheila), Debbie Myles, Nora Stewart (John), Valerie Stokes (Tony), Leonard Charters (Danette), Adam Charters (Jill), and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is also predeceased by her brother Jarett McDermott, her son Troy Charters and two grandchildren Starla and Dustin Charters.

As per Ruby’s wishes there will be no visitations. Because of the limitations on gatherings, the funeral is by invitation only. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Shawn, Bradley, Spencer, Riley, Avery, Cody, Jameson and Zackary.

For those who wish, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
