Ruth Eleanor (Wilcox) Knorr
October 3,1933- September 21,2022
It’s with great sadness that the family of Ruth Knorr of Hoyt, NB, announce her passing at Mill Cove nursing home on September 21,2022 at the age of 88.
Ruth was born and raised in Saint John, she moved to Hoyt with her husband Laurence.
Ruth will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her eyes always lit up when her grandkids and great grandkids entered her home. She always has a special treat for them.
Ruth was an avid gardener, camper and a member of the Antique Auto club. One of her favourite things to talk about was their cross Canada tour. Ruth, Laurence and Ernie spent their winters in Florida and Ruth worked at Scott’s Nursery in the spring for many years.. Ruth loved taking bus tours with her son Ernie.
Ruth is predeceased by her husband Laurence, her daughter Heather, her Brother Charles and her sister Joan. As well as her parents Charles Wilcox and Edith (Appleby) Wilcox.
Ruth is survived by her 3 sons Larry (Tana Scullion) Knorr, Neil (Anna Stewart) Knorr, and Ernie Knorr. 6 Grandchildren, Jen (Bob) Goodwin, Khristal Knorr, Candace (Steve) Nickerson, Amy (Jared) Smith, Tony (Kyla) Knorr, Dustin Golding, and 8 Great grand children, Logan, Lucas, Brady, Quinn, Hunter, Kasden, Colten, and Teagan. As well as two sisters Dorothy (Richard) Nason and Shirley (Brian) Dykeman, as well as several nieces.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Mill Cove Nursing home for their care great care of Ruth .
There will be not visitation as per Ruth’s wishes.
Family and friends are invited to the funeral to be held at St Lukes Anglican church on Monday September 26th, 2022 at 11:00.
Donations can be made to the Patterson historical society.
