Sheila Joanne (Watson) Johnson

It is with great sadness that the family of Sheila Joanne (Watson) Johnson announces her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on November 6, 2024.  Sheila was born on February 3, 1945 in Woodstock, NB to the late Lucylle Veronica (Ballah) and Earl Cecil Watson.  She was the devoted wife of Sheldon Johnson of Welsford, NB for over 56 years.

Sheila will be dearly missed by her husband, Sheldon, daughters; Katherine (Sean) Molloy and Anita (Bradley) Nason, sons; Edward (Chantal Gaudet), and David (Jenelle) Johnson, her sister Wealtha Watson, a brother Jack (Diana) Watson, six grandchildren; Stephen, Ashlynn, Tori, Cohen, Ellena and Daveny, plus a great-granddaughter River, along with many nieces and nephews.

Sheila was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and her family meant the world to her.  Sheldon described her as the “Most Wonderful Homemaker There Ever Was!”.

Family and friends are invited to Visitations at Sunbury Funeral Home on Monday November 11, 2024 from 2-5pm. The Funeral service will be held at 1pm Tuesday November 12, 2024 at Sunbury Funeral Home with the Rev. Blake Perrin officiating.  Interment will take place at the Welsford Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations to the Cancer Society or the Women’s Missionary Society of Hoyt Baptist Church.
