Surrounded by his loving family, Troy David Forrest of South Oromocto Lake, NB passed away on February 27, 2025 at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 60 years old.  Troy was born on February 16, 1965 to Elizabeth (Ogden) and the late Alexander (Palley) Forrest.  He was the loving husband of Mary-Lynn (McCord) Forrest.

Along with his wife Mary-Lynn, Troy is survived by his two daughters; Amy McCord (Clinton McDowell) and Kelsy Wakelin (Brian), his son Alexander Forrest (Maggie MacFarlane), two sisters; Gail Simpson (John) and Kara Sweet (Addison), his brother Timothy Forrest (Tammy McLeod), four grandchildren; Connor(Maddy) Georgia, Mack and Fisher Palley, his in-laws Richard and Lillian McCord, as well as many nieces, nephews, and his faithful black labs; Jack, Charli and Sadie (deceased).

Troy worked hard, played harder and had a big personality to suit. Troy started by working in the woods and ended it in aviation, having worked for Vector Aerospace for over 28 years. Troy spent his time hunting, fishing, building and having a good time with all of his family and friends.  His family would fondly refer to him as a “Lovable A—hole”. “Love camp, love dog, love wife.”

The family would like to thank the Hoyt Fire Department, NB paramedics, his best friend Kelvin Charlton, his brother in law Addison as well as the staff at both the Everett Chalmers and the Saint John Regional Hospital for all of their help.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hoyt Fire Department or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Family and friends are invited to Visitation at Sunbury Funeral Home on Tuesday March 4, 2025 from 3-7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Sunbury Funeral Home on Wednesday March 5, 2025 at 2 pm with Reverend Blake Perrin officiating.
