Aubin, Velma Luella
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Velma Luella Aubin of Vespra, NB announce her passing at Hospice Fredericton on December 14, 2024. Velma was born in Tracy on January 17, 1939, to the late Sadie (Blackmore) and George Nason. She was the loving wife of the late Dale Aubin over 66 years.
Velma is survived by two daughters; Teena (Dick) MacDonald and Brenda (James) Harris, four sons; Steven (Esther), Robert (Michelle), Gerry (Cindy) and Danny (Shanna) Aubin, two sisters; Doris Robison and Esther (Ronnie) Woodworth, four brothers; Stafford ,Lester (Murielle), Randy (Annie), and Errol (Dorothy) Nason, fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Velma was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Her and Dale worked tirelessly together, whether at the lumber camp, or Multi-Ventures. She would do all the cooking for the workers and soon had quite a reputation for being a great cook! Jim Irving would fly in by helicopter whenever possible to enjoy one of her meals. She also took on the role of bookkeeper for the business and would help any of the truckers with their paperwork if asked. In their limited spare time, her and Dale loved to socialize and attend dances.
Along with her parents and husband, Velma is also predeceased by her sisters Rose Kelly and Marjorie Alexander, brothers; Stuart, Francis and Byron Nason.
Family and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home in Central Blissville, NB for Visitations on Wednesday December 18, 2024, from 3-6 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at The Gladstone Mission Church in Tracy, NB on Thursday December 19, 2024 at 1 pm with Rev. Steven Aubin officiating.
The family would appreciate any donations in Velma’s memory to Hospice Fredericton or the Gladstone Mission Church.
