Violet Roberta (Turnbull) DeWitt

 DeWitt, Violet Roberta (Turnbull) Tracy, NB, passed away at White Rapids Manor on January 9, 2014.  Violet was born in Williamsberg, NB on June 21, 1921 to the late Maude (Gorman) and David Turnbull and the wife of the late George DeWitt.

Violet is survived by four grandchildren; Tim (Leona) DeWitt, David (Sandra) Dewitt, Wendy (Ken) Giberson and Debbie (Bruce) Smith, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Violet was predeceased by her daughter Joanne Webb, one son Glendon DeWitt, five brothers and four sisters.

Violet was a member of the Tracy United Baptist Church, Violet was a devoted homemaker to her family.  In her later years Violet enjoyed accompanying George to bowling, bingo and Tuesday night card parties.

Family and friends are invited to Tracy United Baptist Church for visitation on Sunday January 12, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.  Funeral service will be at the Tracy United Baptist Church, Tracy, NB on Monday January 13 at 2pm with Rev. James Harrison officiating.  Interment will be at a later date.
