William Andrew Humble
It is with great sadness that the family of William (Bill) Humble announces his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on July 1, 2024.
Bill is pre deceased by his mother, Evelyn, and stepfather Gerald Lewis. His father, William F. Humble, his infant brother Dennis, stepbrother Murray Lewis, his special nephew Steven MacGougan, and brother-in-law Gary MacGougan.
Born on October 9,1948, in Saint John, NB, Gramp, as he was regularly called, will be dearly missed by his wife of 51 years, Elaine, his daughter Terri; his grandchildren Brandy (Bean), Rebecca (Bird), Anthony (Andy Gump), his seven great grandchildren, Dean (Crank), Isabell (Izzy), Lucas (Wildman Lukey), William (Billy Bob), Sawyer (Huckleberry), Henry (Hank) and Zoey (Zulu) along with his four sisters; Linda MacGougan, Liz LeBlanc (JC), Heather Buckley (Loran), Nelda Kelly (Russ), along with several nieces and nephews.
Bill loved his family so much he gave them all nicknames. Bill always had a story to tell and enjoyed making others laugh. Most say he should have been a comedian. Bill also loved and had a soft spot for animals and pets. Along with spending with his family, Bill enjoyed going with his wife to Uncle Pete's Diner in Rusagonis. He always enjoyed his fish with fries and gravy along with pie. You would always catch Bill with either a coffee or an Alpine in his hand.
Before his retirement, Bill worked as a laborer at York Steel for 25 years.
Visitations will be at Sunbury Funeral Home on Friday July 26, 2024 from 2 pm to 6 pm. Funeral Service at Sunbury Funeral Home on Saturday July 27 at 2 pm. Committal will follow the service in the the Hoyt Baptist Cemetery.
A special mention to Bill's honorary pallbearers his grandson, Anthony Humble, Jody Charlton, Bobby McGee, Roy Johnson, Kyle Mitchell, Grant Thomas, JC LeBlanc, Fenton Whittaker and Loran Buckley.
Instead of flowers due to allergies, donations can be made to the Oromocto SPCA, IWK Children's Hospital or donor's choice.
