Gillett - We are saddened to announce the passing of Martha Elizabeth (Currie) Gillett at the Shannex Parkland Fredericton Manor.  Martha was born to the late Dorothy (Hayward) and Frederick Currie November 10, 1935 and left us August 28, 2011 in her 75^th year.   She was predeceased by her husband Harry A. Gillett in 1978.  She leaves behind to mourn her passing two daughters; Angela Hogan (Paul) of Hoyt, NB and Tammy Cogswell (Anthony) of Wirral, NB, two sons; Tim (Trudy) and Michael both of Hoyt, NB.  Missing their Grandmother are her five grand children; Kymberley Gillett (Justin Steeves), Tyler & Casey Hogan and Alex & Zack Cogswell.   She leaves her four sisters; Mary Harris, Dorothy Ward (Murray), Jean Smith (Donnie) and Veronica Bruce and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Martha was predeceased by one sister Pat Bernard, a brother Frederick Currie and a brother-in-law Raymond Harris. Martha taught for several years in Patterson, Hoyt and Fredericton Junction; teaching elementary and junior high grades, inspiring and challenging young minds in both the one room school house and the multi class school.   She was a member of St. Columba’s Catholic Church, involved with the Hoyt Recreation Council and its Ways and Means committee for many years and was a member of the NBTA.  Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home on Tuesday August 30, 2011 for visitations from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm.  The funeral mass will be held from St. Columba Catholic Church on Wednesday August 31 at 11 am with Father Mark Trzop officiating.  Interment will take place at St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery.  You may express your sympathy by making a donation to Sunbury West School programs or a charity of your choice.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Sunbury Funeral Home Ltd., Central Blissville, NB.
