Charles Alfred Bunker

Bunker, Charles Alfred – The family wishes to announce the passing of Charles Bunker, 92 of Rusagonis.  Charles passed away on Wednesday January 13, 2016 at the Oromocto Public Hospital.  He was born in Fredericton, and was the youngest son of the late Lillian Wood and Harold Bunker.  He received an Engineering Degree from the University of New Brunswick and in the early 1950’s moved to Montreal, Quebec.  He was employed by Canadian Pacific at Windsor Station for several years, and  later returned to his roots in Rusagonis.  Charles was a boxer in his college life.  When first married he lived in McAdam, NB for three years and played music with his wife for dances at the Masonic Hall.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. 

He is survived by his wife, the former Evelyn Artes; one daughter Brenda Macleod, and three grandchildren; Duncan, Kate and Charlie. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Jean Higgs and a brother Manzer Bunker.

A Funeral Service will be held on May 14, 2016 at 11 AM at ST. Andrews Anglican Church in Fredericton Junction, NB with Bishop George Lemmon officiating. A reception will follow service at the farm in Rusagonis. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Charles' name to the SPCA or any animal welfare society.
